Mobile Design & Development for Dual-Device Wearable Analytics Platform

Pro-sumer wearable platform Biostrap offers advanced heart, sleep & full activity monitoring through dual-device technology and machine learning integration. iOS and Android mobile devices can connect through Bluetooth technology with Biostrap hardware to record advanced biometric data and gather deep health and fitness insights, driving athletes towards smart data-driven workouts.

Biostrap approached December Labs with the objective to give their existing iOS & Android apps a true senior-level jump start. The overall UX/UI was to be improved and rather than a development company, Biostrap was in the need of a strategic IT partner who would take on product-ownership, help the client meet imminent and long-term deadlines and build innovative new product features.

December Labs provided a flexible approach to short-term needs and projected scalable growth. After an initial two-week trial period and selected experimental projects, the foundation for a trustful relationship was set, and December Labs started providing Biostrap with 2 senior iOS and Android developers. Initial priorities included improving the overall app architectures, an enhanced UX/UI, product stability and offering an identical experience for iOS and Android users. Since then, we have become part of the Biostrap team, tripling the resources dedicated to this project, as Biostrap has trusted us with most of its essential development needs. Key to our success has been the strong sinergy we’ve been able to create by working hand in hand with Biostraps’ in-house department on multiple app iterations and numerous emerging features.
